[아시아타임즈=김지호 기자] Actor Chae Min-seo (38, real name Jo Su-jin) was sentenced to probation at the first trial, who was handed over to the trial on charges of hitting another vehicle while drunk and driving backwards on a one-way road.
According to law enforcement officials on the 19th, Judge Jo Ara, who was solely responsible for criminal 26 of the Seoul Central District Court, sentenced Chae to eight months in prison and two years of probation on charges such as drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act. Judge Cho ordered Chae to take 40 hours of compliance driving classes and 120 hours of community service.
Chae was accused of hitting another car while driving backwards on a one-way street in Gangnam, Seoul while drunk at 6 am on March 26th.
Chae hit the back of the driver’s seat of A (39), who was stopping at the time, and Mr. A was found to have been injured for two weeks. Chae drove a section of about 1km 30 minutes before driving in the reverse direction, and it was found that the blood alcohol concentration was 0.063%, the level of license suspension.

Chae was punished three times in March 2012 and December 2015 as well, receiving a summary order of 2 million won and 5 million won, respectively, for drunk driving.
Judge Cho judged that, “I did not receive separate forgiveness from the victim’s side,” and “I was generally repenting of the wrongdoing, and the shock was not strong at the time.”
He added, “The degree of injury to the victim is light,” he added. “This incident drunk driving is a hangover, and the blood alcohol concentration is not very high according to the old road traffic law punishment standards.”
Judge Cho decided on the sentence in consideration of the fact that the damage was recovered through the comprehensive insurance that Chae subscribed to, and that there was no history of punishment beyond the fine.
However, the prosecution filed an appeal to the first trial the day before saying that Chae’s brother was light.
Chae was born in 1981 and debuted in 2002 with the movie’Champion’. Afterwards, he appeared in dramas’Unmanned Era’,’Bad Couple’,’Jamyeonggo’ and’I don’t know a woman’. I was more active in the movie. He received attention as’Don Tel Papa’ and’Wig’, and he starred in’Alone’,’Vegetarian’,’Sookhee’ and’Camping’.
In 2010, Mr. Chae had a dating rumor with singer Jeon-jin (real name Park Chung-jae). In response, Jeonjin denied this, saying, “I had a few meals with my acquaintances, but it wasn’t more than that between seniors and juniors in the entertainment industry.” In addition, about the breakup theory a year later, Junjin responded by saying, “I have never dated,” saying that it was absurd.
At the time, Chae rebutted in an interview with a media, saying, “(Jeonjin) first contacted me saying that you were interested in me. I have been dating for nearly a year, but I am not sure why I suddenly became my younger brother who ate only twice in a restaurant.”
