The first images they had circulated earlier this year and showed the first medium-high displacement Adventure of the Chinese CF Moto. An interesting model for the European market and strong in the fact that it is the result of one collaboration with KTM.
Indeed, the two companies have recently strengthened their partnership born in 2014. The Chinese manufacturer, through a 49% joint venture with the Austrian brand, already produces the small KTMs to be sold in the local market under the brand KTM R2R and above all it has also begun to build the twin cylinders of the series 790 e 890 KTM branded for sale all over the world.
After having had the production license of the V2 LC8 engine – then revised in China – CF Moto presented at the Motor Expo a month ago the granturismo 1250 TR-G which is expected in production next year and will be exported.
But it is with the newest parallel twin engine LC8c that CF Moto is finishing the development of its new road enduro MT800.
This bike was recently photographed and follows the one that had already been glimpsed at the beginning of the year, but with a significant advance in the definition of the details that can be seen despite the camouflage graphics used.
The engine should therefore offer a power of the order of 95 cavalli, enough to compete with competitors around the 800-900 displacement.
The frame has a KTM school design, but compared to the 790 Adventure to change is the setting of the bike, which in this version is less off-road of the Austrian.
They say the measure from 19 inches of the front wheel, the saddle less high from the ground and increased for the passenger, the suspensions apparently of lesser excursion, the tank of traditional shape and not lowered (according to the rally technique) as there is on the Austrian 790 and 890.
The aesthetics is due to Kiska Design, a subsidiary of KTM that designs the “K” and Husqvarna, and in the profile it reminds a little of the Africa Twin Honda. There is a hint of a beak in front of the headlight and the fender is flush with the wheel.
It is very likely that the MT800 arrives in the 2021, we imagine that it can also be imported into Italy, where the CF Moto are already on sale.
