Cengkareng-Cinere Will Be Connected to the Late 2020 Toll Road

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) promises, construction 11 streets Highway will be completed until the end of 2020.

Director General (Dirjen) of Highways Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian confirmed this in a press release received Kompas.com, Thursday (22/10/2020).

“In the long-term target, it is expected to decrease to 1.5 hours per 100 kilometers,” said Hedy.

Currently, travel time is still in the range of 2.3-2.5 hours per 100 kilometers.

Of the many roads toll whose construction is complete until the end of 2020, Toll Cengkareng-Kunciran is one of them.

Freeway along 14.19 kilometers this is one of the 6 sections Highway Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) II or JORR 2.

Tol jorr 2 itself is divided into 6 sections, namely the Cengkareng-Batu Ceper-Kunciran Toll Road with a length of 14.19 kilometers, the Kunciran-Serpong Toll Road with a length of 11.4 kilometers, and the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road with a length of 10.14 kilometers.

Then, the Cinere-Jagorawi toll road is 14.64 kilometers long, the Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road is 25.39 kilometers long, and the Cibitung-Cilincing toll road is 34.02 kilometers long.

While the special Way Cengkareng-Kunciran Toll Road itself is divided into four sections. The details are Section I (Kunciran-Tirtayasa) along 2.04 kilometers.

Then, Section II (Tirtayasa-Benteng Betawi) is 3.52 kilometers long, Section III (Betawi Fortress-H.Sastranegara) is 6.57 kilometers long, and Section IV (H.Sastranegara-SS Benda) is 2.06 kilometers long.

Highway this is managed by joint venture between PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk and CMS Works International Limited, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Nindya Karya (Persero) and PT Istaka Karya (Persero) namely, PT Jasamarga Kunciran Cengkareng (JKC).

The Cengkareng-Kunciran Toll Road will also be connected to the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road, which construction will also finish at the end of 2020.

This toll road will also be connected to the Kunciran-Serpong Toll Road, which has been operating and inaugurated by President Jokowi since last December 2019.

The existence of this toll road is expected to be an alternative toll access to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the surrounding area.
