Merseyside police issued a decree according to which the fans of Liverpool, celebrating the championship team, can be dispersed.
According to Sky Sports, this is a temporary measure, which will be valid until June 28. It is noted that the decision was made due to the fact that Liverpool fans gather in the city center for the second night in a row.
Crowds of people were at Anfield’s Thursday night, they sang songs and burned fireworks, ignoring police calls for social distance measures.
Recall that on Thursday, police detained 10 fans for inappropriate behavior during the celebration.
“I understand that Liverpool fans want to celebrate, but please, for your own safety and the health of others, go home and celebrate there.
Coronavirus is still a real threat, and our city has already lost too many people because of it, ”wrote Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson.
Earlier Merseyside Police encouraged Liverpool fans celebrate home championships.
