Celebrate Corona safe: Albert and Charlène wish Monaco a great holiday

The recording was made on Thursday in the palace hall, from where the princely family normally waves from the open windows to the revelers in the palace square. But that ‘balcony scene’ cannot take place this year due to the restrictive corona measures.

“Unlike in other years, it is not possible to appear in front of you on the national holiday in the palace square due to the health crisis in the principality and the surrounding countries,” said Albert. “The princess, my children and my family are, as you know, in your thoughts with you and hope that we can meet again in normal circumstances.”
