For one more week, in the Mexico City the epidemiological traffic light will be kept orange with an alert, even though from the Federal Secretary of Health the proposal was to return to a red light.
This was reported by the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, who pointed out that in the last hours there was a reduction of patients hospitalized for covid-19 in the Valley of Mexico, which, although it is not enough to give way to the yellow light, it does allow us to continue as before.
It is necessary for containment to return to the red light, we are going to do it, but we do not go ahead, we continue with these measures that have helped us. With the collaboration of all, we believe that we can maintain ourselves in these circumstances. The daily review and the daily report that we give will help us to take measures if we continue in this process towards the yellow traffic light, which it is possible that it could happen, “he said.
Sheinbaum Pardo indicated that, starting Monday, restaurants will be authorized to extend their hours of operation from seven in the morning to ten at night. Occupancy will remain at 30% of its capacity and if the establishment has free areas, it can increase its capacity by 10%.
In addition, he pointed out that the federal and local Judicial Power will restart activities with strict sanitary measures and will open some one-stop windows for citizen attention that can be visited by appointment only.
It also depends on everyone who can reduce infections in the city and continue to maintain activities, “he said.
The covid-19 pandemic is not over, which is everyone’s responsibility to continue taking care of us. Here the Government carries out a series of activities and we are deployed in the territory attending to the citizens, doing everything we need to do in the city’s hospitals and in coordination with the Government of Mexico, but it also depends on all and on all that we can decrease infections in the city and continue to maintain activities. So let’s continue to be responsible and so we will all get ahead. “
