The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated the list of groups that are at increased risk for severe complications from covid-19. Now, pregnant women and those suffering from moderate or severe asthma are added. The CDC had previously identified patients with morbid obesity as people at risk, but added those with other types of obesity to their list. Those who suffered from dementia or had a heart attack were also included.
