Most of the time in the treatment room due to injury, Cavani only appeared 20 times with a score of two goals and one assist. Making it even more bleak is that MU’s appearance is also sloppy.

“And when the fans are back in the stadium this season, I can’t repeat the good form again. Honestly I’ve been dreaming of that for a long time. Where I can repeat last season’s goalscoring and celebrate with the fans – things like that mean a lot to a striker.” he continued.

In his first season after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Cavani did appear brilliant with 17 goals and six assists from 39 appearances. He contributed to delivering Manchester United to the runners-up of the English League and Europa League.

Cavani will no longer get support from Manchester United fans, because his contract was not renewed. Despite failing to award the title, Cavani is grateful for the attention he has given over the past two years.
