Catherine Messmer does not get more than four hours of sleep at the moment: The Mörschwilerin studies in Zurich during the day and online in Shanghai at night

Catherine Messmer is completing a double degree. Because she is no longer allowed to travel to China because of the corona virus, where she attended Fudan University, she has also enrolled at the University of Zurich. The 24-year-old hopes that she will soon be able to travel back to Shanghai.

When Catherine Messmer boarded a plane to Europe in Shanghai in January, she thought she would be back at her apartment and at Fudan University in two weeks. The two weeks have now become eleven months.
