If there is one Moroccan city champion because of its propensity to put King Mohammed VI in all its forms, it is that of Casablanca. Why ?

The Coronavirus disease continues its dangerous spread in Morocco, where 1,245 new positive cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing to 44,803 cumulative cases of people detected positive for Covid-19, since the announcement of the first case, the March 2, 2020.

The number of healings has now reached 31,002, according to the report of the Moroccan Ministry of Health at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18. The 33 new deaths recorded in the last 24 hours bring the total number of people killed by the disease to 714.

In addition, 184 serious or critical cases have been announced by the Moroccan Ministry of Health, including 65 on a ventilator. By region, this gives 61 in Casablanca Settat, 43 in Tanger Tétouan Al Hoceima, 30 in Marrakech Safi, 18 in Fès-Meknès, 13 in Rabat Salé Kénitra, 8 in Drâa Tafilalet et l’Oriental, 4 in Souss Massa, 1 in Beni Mellal Khenifra and Dakhla.

It turns out that, once again, the city of Casablanca has distinguished itself by recording the largest number of new Coronavirus patients in the kingdom. This region alone has recorded 35% of active cases in the kingdom. Casablanca-Settat, with 4,509 active cases, recorded 351 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Since the onset of the disease in the kingdom, the city of Casablanca, often alongside Marrakech, has been a leader in the explosion of cases of Coronavirus. A situation, the result of non-compliance with sanitary measures, and which endangers all the efforts of King Mohammed VI. Naturally, the king is in all his senses in view of the Covid-19 figures in Casablanca.

259 in Casablanca, 22 in Settat, 20 in El Jadida, 14 in Mohammedia and Berrechid, 8 in Benslimane and Nouaceur, 4 in Mediouna, 2 in Sidi Bennour.

Beni Mellal Khenifra: 190 new cases

148 in Beni Mellal, 19 in Azilal, 13 in Khenifra, 7 in Fquih Ben Salah, 3 in Khouribga.

Marrakech- Safi: 151 new cases

62 in Marrakech, 36 in Kelâat Sraghna, 19 in Youssoufia, 13 in Haouz, 9 in Chichaoua, 7 in Essaouira and 5 in Rhamna.

Rabat-Sale-Kenitra : 135 new cases

40 in Salé, 37 in Kénitra, 29 in Skhirat Témara, 17 in Khemisset, 8 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Sidi Slimane.

Fes-Meknes : 126 new cases

81 in Fès, 21 in Boulemane, 14 in Meknes, 6 in Taounate, 2 in Ifrane and 2 in Taza.

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima : 106 new cases

57 in Tangier, 13 in Tétouan, 19 in Larache, 6 in Mdiq-Fnideq and Ouezzane, 2 in Al Hoceima and Chechaouen, 1 in Fahs Anjra.

Drâa Tafilalet : 78 new cases

38 in Errachidia, 23 in Ouarzazate, 11 in Midelt and 6 in Tinghir.

Souss Massa : 53 cases

37 in Agadir and 8 in Tata and Inezgane.

Oriental: 21 new cases

14 in Oujda, 4 in NAdor, 2 in Figuig and 1 in Berkane.

Dakhla Oued Eddahab: 20 new cases in Dakhla.

Laâyoune Sakia Hamra: 13 new cases

12 in Laâyoune and 1 case in Boujdour.
