Carrick’s credit goes to Eriksen


Christian Eriksen have a positive impact on Manchester United. Former Manchester United top midfielder Michele Carrick not surprised by Eriksen’s brilliant performance.

The Danish football star joined United for free after ending his contract with Brentford at the end of last season. Eriksen immediately became manager Erik ten Hag’s player of choice.

Eriksen has provided two assists in eight appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions. Eriksen helped Manchester United secure four consecutive Premier League wins, including beating rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.

Carrick once defended himself Manchester United for 12 seasons winning a total of 17 league trophies. The former Manchester United goalkeeper said Christian Eriksen lived up to his expectations.

“I’m not surprised at all,” he told United’s official website. “I have played against him many times, I have seen many matches of him. I like him very much. He is a fantastic player.”

“He’s smart, he’s smart. Almost regardless of where he’s played, he can adapt. He’s just a smart, intelligent footballer with great qualities,” said the 41-year-old manager.

“I was happy when we recruited him and it didn’t surprise me at all. He was a top player”, Carrick to conclude.

Christian Eriksen he will try to play his “magic” again after the break for the Nationals. Manchester United will play the big match against city rivals and reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on 2 October.
