Star singing in Neukirchen this year different, but safe: No masked muggers, but “corona-protected” star singers waited for the visitors on Epiphany, the feast of the Epiphany, after the services.

Neukirchen b Hl Blood.The kings offered blessing stickers for the doors on the church portal and asked for a donation for the carol singers campaign “Give children support – in Ukraine and worldwide” according to the motto “Children help children”. Before that, a group of carol singers with colorful cloaks and oriental headgear had already ministered to the service and awarded the carol singers blessings to the visitors. The text was brought into a “Corona version” by the carol singer supervisor Roswitha Reitmeier: “We say hello to you all here and at home, our blessing is a little different this year. You can’t go home because of Corona, but you shouldn’t be forgotten ”. With this in mind, the acolytes also included the sick and the elderly in their blessings: “We bring the blessing from the Lord Jesus Christ, who was born for us humans. It happened in the stable at Bethlehem, we saw the child ourselves. We, Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, wish you all a very happy new year ”. In keeping with this, many worshipers took home incense, charcoal, chalk and door stickers with the blessing “20 * C + M + B * 21” for relatives and neighbors. For this purpose, generous donations were put into the carol singers’ funds, as Pastor Georg Englmeier, community assistant Gabriele Matheusch and community assistant Hans-Peter Kaiser discovered. Donations are still possible at the parish office until February 2nd, also in a sealed envelope with a carol mark in the mailbox or in the church collections. (kbr)
