METZINGEN. That leaves two applicants for the executive chair in Metzingen town hall. On Sunday, May 2nd, a successor to Dr. Ulrich Fiedler was elected, who took up his position as Reutlingen District Administrator on April 1st.
On February 22, Metzingen’s finance mayor and commercial director of Stadtwerke Carmen Haberstroh was the first to submit her application documents – supported by the municipal council groups of the Free Voters, the CDU and the FDP, who had committed themselves to the 49-year-old from the start. In mid-March, Patrick Roth got in touch. The 30-year-old Metzinger is a trained businessman for insurance and finance and works in the back office at an insurance company in Stuttgart.
On Wednesday evening, the municipal election committee approved the candidates and thought about the application process. Due to the pandemic, the classic public presentation with an audience is ruled out. The panel has now agreed that the performance without an audience will take place on Wednesday, April 21, in the form of a recording. Citizen questions are collected in advance by post or email. They will be drawn on site, Carmen Haberstroh and Patrick Roth, who can each present themselves twenty minutes beforehand, then each have ten minutes to answer them. (and)
