Rock legend Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana fell ill and passed out during a concert in an outdoor auditorium in Michigan, United States. The images of the artist rescued by doctors and staff were posted on social media by various participants and the news was relaunched by the media. Santana was performing at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, northwest of Detroit, when he passed out: after about twenty minutes, he was carried off the stage on a stretcher. The concert officials asked to pray for Santana due to “a serious medical problem”.

Santana, who will turn 75 in a few weeks, was a pioneer in merging Latin rhythms with the rock genre in the band he founded in 1966. Since then his figure and his music have made history and have obtained every possible recognition. : is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in the list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time drawn up by the Rolling Stones magazine.
The artist’s manager – reports the ABC – has made it known that Santana has been taken to the hospital for tests, but his condition is good. The illness was caused by dehydration and heat.
