Carlos José Matamoros Marries for the Fifth Time: Ecuadorian Communicator Weds Diana Carrera
Quito, Ecuador – November 8, 2023 – While the ecuadorian capital anticipates the arrival of Shakira for the first of three highly anticipated concerts, another significant event unfolded today: the marriage of prominent Ecuadorian communicator Carlos josé Matamoros to his partner, Diana Carrera.
The intimate wedding ceremony took place outdoors, near a private residence, and was attended by a close circle of family and friends.Several familiar faces from Ecuadorian television were present, including Gabriela Guzmán, a panelist on Ecuavisa’s Showbiz Hackers, and Emiliana Valdez, Matamoros’ co-host on RTS’s Fight. Entertainment reporter Dieter Hoffman was also in attendance, covering the event.
Carrera, a German national, radiated elegance in a white dress featuring a silky texture, a sleeveless V-neckline, and delicate crystal and rhinestone embroidery on the bodice. The A-line skirt maintained a clean, understated aesthetic. Her hair and makeup were expertly styled by the renowned Ecuadorian duo of Jinsop Pineda and Héctor Alvarado.
Accompanied by her daughter, Carrera expressed her emotions leading up to the ceremony. “I am very nervous and happy simultaneously occurring to marry the love of my life,” she shared.
This marks Matamoros’ fifth marriage. He was previously married to María Fernanda Salazar (and is the father of her daughter, María Gabriela), Pamela Orellana, Yuleisy Coca, and Christina Harzer. The wedding comes as a personal milestone for Matamoros amidst his continued work in Ecuadorian media.
