Carli Bellmer, a tiktokeuse 27-year-old would have swallowed a Airpod by mistake. She would have mistaken the object for a pill. “So I ate mon fuckingAirPod left. I was crawling into my bed, I had an ibuprofen 800 in one hand and mon fuckingAirPod – my left earphone – in the other“, said the young woman on Tiktok.
She told her followers that she had finally succeeded in passing theAirPod, specifying that this had been confirmed by an x-ray. But before the earpiece leaves her body, the young woman says she sent her friend a voice memo that theAirPod, oddly, transmitted audibly from inside his stomach.
The podcasteuse from Boston said she thoughtlessly inserted what she thought was the pill and swallowed it with water. “I then realized it wasn’t ibuprofen“, did she say. “I’m tired of throwing him up and he won’t come out, and I’m losing my mind.“
She explained that she wanted to share her experience with other people, as she wasn’t the first to do so and likely won’t be the last. “So for educational purposes I wanted to share my background, how it all goes“she said.
While many sympathized with her, her claim was also met with skepticism.
A TikTok user asked: “How do you mix ibuprofen and an AirPod ?“Another accused her of trying to gain notoriety on the platform by making such mind-boggling claims. “It looks like c*** for me“, they said.
Others intervened to defend it. A TikTok user wrote: “In his defense, theIbuprofen 800 is huge, so it looks a bit like a AirPod if you are distracted.“
In her subsequent posts, she added that she sent her friend a message that theAirPod transmitted audibly from inside her belly. L’AirPod was still connected to his iPhone. “It’s funny now, but it was very scary at the time“, she said of this ordeal.
The TikTokeuse also assured its followers an x-ray examination has shown that theAirPod was no longer in his stomach. “An x-ray showed I had it. I had the feeling that I had passed it. I didn’t get it back, but I know it’s passed. I know it was in my stomach and it’s gone“she said.
