Cardiff Rugby unveils 2025-26 Kits honoring 150-Year Legacy & Sustainability Commitment
Cardiff Rugby today launched its new home and alternate kits for the 2025-26 season, blending traditional designs with a modern focus on sustainability and a festivity of the club’s rich history as it approaches its 150th anniversary in 1876. The kits will be exclusively available at Summerfest tomorrow and online now.
The home kit features the club’s iconic blue and black hoops, enhanced with sublimated iconography representing Cardiff’s heritage and the city itself. Landmarks such as Cardiff Castle and the Millennium Center are included, alongside traditional and modern skulls and crossbones and the beloved “Billy the Seal.” The year the club was founded, 1876, is embroidered in white at the back of the neck, while an image of the Arms Park entrance is embossed on the back of the jersey. Principal Partner RSK is prominently displayed on the front, with the Cardiff Rugby badge on the left. Black shorts with blue piping and sky blue socks featuring a black top and “1876” above the ankle complete the look.
In contrast, the alternate jersey offers a simpler design, returning to a pink color scheme with a navy trim.A subtle sublimated hoop design nods to the club’s traditions, and the ‘Villa Cardiff’ logo is embossed on the back. Both shorts and socks are predominantly pink with navy detailing.
Both the home and alternate jerseys are manufactured using Eco Armevo with Eco Bodytex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts, demonstrating cardiff’s commitment to sustainability. Each jersey incorporates 13 reused plastic bottles, and each pair of shorts utilizes eight.Cardiff Rugby extended gratitude to Macron and RSK for their continued support,as well as its Kit Partners: MSS,Hugh James,Indigo, mechtech Professionals,High Motive,Pure Cyber,David Spear Commercials,We Care Communications,Steelphalt, and Ron Skinner and Sons, who received an exclusive reveal at Fine Wines.
