Caracas Gears Up for a Weekend of Free Family Fun: From Cable Cars to Virtual Reality!

Caracas is set to host a vibrant celebration for children this Sunday, July 20th, offering a diverse array of free recreational and cultural activities designed to delight young minds and families. The city’s agenda boasts theatrical performances, film screenings, and a unique fusion of history and cutting-edge technology.
The iconic Waraira Repano cable car will provide complimentary rides for children aged 3 to 12. Upon reaching the summit of the Waraira Repano National Park, attendees can anticipate a day filled with engaging activities including face painting, inflatable attractions, bouncy castles, theatrical presentations, and special treats and promotions.
The Museum of Science, situated adjacent to los Caobos Park, is also rolling out an extensive program starting at 11:00 AM. The museum’s various halls will feature captivating events such as “Cinemuci,” showcasing screenings of popular films like Moana 2 and Minecraft. Further enriching the experience, the museum will host storytelling sessions and interactive science and chemistry games, sparking curiosity and inventiveness.
Adding to the weekend’s attractions, the Expo “simón, from Child to Libertador” will be open to the public at the Simón Bolívar Park Convention Center in La Carlota. This compelling exhibition, running until July 24th, features 19 distinct scenes that vividly portray the most significant moments in the life of Simón Bolívar, the Liberator. The expo promises an immersive journey through virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, offering visitors a novel way to connect with history.
On Sunday, july 20th, the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural Casona, located at the end of La Carlota’s main avenue, will welcome visitors with two engaging activities. Kicking off at 10:30 AM, a practical workshop on creating ecological pencils will be led by Hanoi Amarú. Following this, at 11:00 AM, the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural Casona Theater Workshop Group, “Living Happy,” will present their original play, Victorious or Defeated.always in Love,penned by Juliana Key and Milagros Martínez,promising an entertaining and memorable performance for all.
