Car crashes into four people on the road; Night unknown fire | Idukki | Car | Accident | Police | Kerala News | News from Kerala

An unidentified person set fire to a car that hit 4 people on the roadside at Kunchithanni Irupathekkar Nellikkad at night. The car owned by Mani, a native of Nellikkad, caught fire at 5.30 pm on Saturday. Aji (42), Nithya (30), R. Kannan (40) and Sudhakaran (55) are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Adimali.

Mani was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Police said there had been some problems between Mani and Aji before. Some of the locals, who were outraged after the accident, tried to hit the vehicle. Rajakkad police reached the spot but could not find Mani.

Police said the car, which was parked near a nearby cardamom garden, was set on fire by unidentified persons around midnight. Rajakadu CI HL Honey said that a case has been registered against Mani on the basis of the statement of the injured that it was an attempt to kill him. Police have also registered a case in connection with the burning of the vehicle.
