Magdeburg/DUR – One of the biggest games of the still young season is coming up for 1. FC Magdeburg. On Saturday, FCM will face Bundesliga relegated team 1. FC Köln (8.30 p.m./Sky, Sport1).
Magdeburg’s captain Dominik Reimann goes into the match with full confidence. He told the “Bild“-Zeitung: “Everyone is having fun in this atmosphere. We are playing beautiful football and I hope we continue to be successful.”
He continued: “We are undefeated so far and will be confident. Sure, it’s a full house. But if we’ve watched Cologne’s games, there are things that can hurt them and we’ll try to exploit them. We want to go there to win.”

Cologne have scored eleven goals this season, more than any other club in the 2nd Bundesliga. FCM head coach Titz had high praise for the “Effzeh” beforehand. His team captain, meanwhile, is not only showing his teeth, but also respecting his opponents.
Reimann: “What you can see is that they have quality when it comes to dead balls. They have powerful central defenders who march in. We have to be alert and keep up with the opponents.”
The hosts are particularly dangerous when it comes to set pieces. Magdeburg have done well this season, Reimann told Bild. He refers to the Braunschweig game: “We had a lot of set pieces against us and no goals were scored.” They want to build on that against Cologne and ideally take three points back to the Elbe.
