William Shatner rejects British Prince William’s criticism that billionaires would be better off targeting problems on Earth than unleashing a new space race. The actor who once played Captain Kirk in Star Trek made Wednesday myself a short space flight in a rocket from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
“He’s a great man, kind, well-educated, but he doesn’t understand,” Shatner told the TV show Entertainment Tonight about the prince’s statements.

His comments come just before William will present Sunday’s first Earthshot environmental awards of one million euros to five people who have made significant contributions to solving environmental problems. He has been concerned about the environment for a long time.
