Before entering the Gambardella Cup, the U19 National teams participated in their last championship match of the year 2021. And it must be said that AS Cannes and AS Saint-Étienne had no trouble to get rid of their weekend opponent. Opposed to the red lantern, the Greens wandered (7-1) and the attackers enjoyed themselves with three doubles in the same meeting. With this success, the Stéphanois remain on the podium before their late match against Istres.
For its part, AS Cannes found the path to victory after three unsuccessful matches. On their ground, the Dragons made short work of Nîmes Olympique with a 6-1 victory synonymous with 8th place (20 points).
Nice and Toulouse end in style
Held in check in the derby against ASM, OGC Nice ended its year in style with a 2-0 victory over AC Ajaccio. A success that allows the Aiglons to remain in the top 5 with 26 points on the clock. Toulouse FC ended its year at the top of the group D standings with 31 points. In the derby against US Colomiers, the Violets confirmed an easy success (2-0) and can attack Gambardella with a free spirit.
After their victory against Nîmes Olympique, SC Toulon ended its year with a bang with another success against AS Béziers (2-1). A second positive result which allows the Toulonnais to stay in 10th place before the break.
OM fall, Monaco remains in contact
Opposed to the MHSC for this last event of the season, the young people of OM were beaten on their ground (2-1). With this success, the Montpellier residents remain at the foot of the podium while OM are sixth.
After a draw at OGC Nice, the young Monegasques won their duel against Istres FC. A victory on the smallest of the margins which left the Red and White in place of runner-up to Pool D.
