CANFIELD – Students at Canfield Village middle School demonstrated community spirit this week, donating $1,200 to the Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Foundation for breast cancer care. The funds, raised through a recent school-wide initiative, will directly support the SRMC Breast care Center’s patient assistance programs.
The donation arrives during national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to increasing awareness of the disease and raising funds for research and support services. SRMC’s Breast Care Center provides complete diagnostic and treatment services to patients throughout Columbiana County and beyond. According to SRMC officials, the student contribution will help ensure continued access to vital resources for individuals facing breast cancer, including mammography screenings, financial assistance, and support groups.
