He noted that in the (PLD), they are currently desperate because their candidate is not advancing, suggesting that they focus on the processes of 2024 or 2028, because in these elections they have nothing to look for.
“If at any time it occurred to them that Leonel Fernández could support them in a second round, they should give up on it, because neither Leonel Fernández nor any of those with Leonel are going to support the government candidate,” he said. Seliman.
The vice-presidential candidate of the FP reacted to the statements of the Dominican ambassador to the United States, José Tomás Pérez, who asked the People’s Force to make a pact so that in a second round it supports the party that gets the most votes.
In this sense, Seliman highlighted that President Leonel Fernández leads a formal alliance of parties where the PRSC, the People’s Force and four other organizations are, in which he assures that there is no more room, because the deadlines have already expired.
He understands that in the case of Leonel Fernández, having the intention of making some kind of alliance with his colleagues from the old party would not have left that organization.
