Canadians will have the chance to take a closer look at the most powerful and fastest electrified RAV4 to date, an mid-size SUV that optimizes fuel efficiency without compromising on performance. Toyota RAV4 Prime 2021, in Canadian lair
This new RAV4 Prime is the most fun to drive RAV4 to date and is built on the same platform of the new global architecture of Toyota (TNGA) as the current generation RAV4 and RAV4 hybrid. With an estimated power of 302 horsepower available to the driver, the RAV4 Prime will be the most powerful model in the compact SUV segment. Able to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in just 5.8 seconds, the RAV4 Prime is the second fastest vehicle in the entire Toyota range after the GR Supra. The RAV4 Prime receives all-wheel drive on demand with electronic control, for confident driving in all weathers, and a sport-calibrated suspension, for precise handling.
It is also the very first plug-in hybrid RAV4 in North America, which means that it offers exceptional fuel efficiency, estimated at the equivalent of 2.6 Le per 100 kilometers. And with a range of 60 kilometers in electric mode, drivers will be able to make most of their daily trips without consuming a single drop of gasoline. For long journeys, the RAV4 Prime harmoniously transforms into a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle so that the driver never has to worry about knowing where the next charging station is located.
In terms of acceleration and fuel efficiency, the RAV4 Prime redefines the very concept of an SUV, while continuing to offer the qualities that have made the RAV4 the most popular Toyota model in Canada, such as comfort, space and versatility. 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Canadian Premiere
It is the first hybrid Highlander to incorporate TNGA, which provides multiple advantages over previous generations. It benefits from improved performance, in particular increased agility, a reduced turning radius as well as a new smoothness and silence. The TNGA platform gives the hybrid Highlander a more powerful posture with a modern and refined silhouette. It can also accommodate up to eight passengers in style and comfort.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid offers impressive performance and exceptional fuel efficiency. The energy efficiency of the all-new hybrid system has been improved by 19% compared to the previous generation model, which does not prevent it from developing almost as much power as its petrol counterpart. The new Highlander Hybrid is not only the most fuel-efficient Highlander to date, it is also more fuel efficient than most compact gasoline sedans and is expected to be unrivaled in its segment.
