Residents planning to set off fireworks in their backyards should note that it is indeed onyl permitted on July 1st, from sundown to 11 p.m. Setting off fireworks outside of these times or in public spaces without a permit is prohibited and subject to fines. Fireworks retailers are only authorized to sell fireworks from July 1st and the five days prior.
