Open relationship

People with an open marriage or an open relationship have agreed with their partner that you can also kiss, date or have sex with someone else. Out research from 3Ask, part of the opinion panel of EenVandaag, shows that 24 percent of Dutch people between the ages of 16 and 34 are open to an open relationship. 13 percent would like a polyamorous relationship, a form of relationship in which you have several relationships at the same time and can also be together with three.

Of those in a polyamorous or open relationship, 85 percent find maintaining it easy. In an open or polyamorous relationship, cheating still exists if you break the rules with your partner. 80 percent of the people in such a relationship say that they have good agreements about what their partner is allowed or not allowed to do.
