Wage Subsidy Delays Spark Concerns for Indonesian Workers

Indonesian workers and honorary teachers are awaiting wage subsidy disbursements. However, many eligible recipients face delays in receiving their funds, prompting them to seek updates on their application statuses.

Navigating the BSU Disbursement Process

The Indonesian government began distributing wage subsidy assistance (BSU) in June 2025. This financial aid is intended for eligible workers and teachers. The BSU provides Rp. 300,000 monthly for June and July, totaling Rp. 600,000 per recipient.

However, not all approved individuals have received the BSU in their accounts. Some applicants are seeing the status “Data in the Verification and Validation Process,” despite meeting the requirements.

Addressing Account and Data Issues

Oni Marbun, Deputy for BPJS Employment Communication, explained that the status arises because the system matches participants’ data with BSU program requirements. This process follows Permenaker No. 5 of 2025 and involves verifying membership status, salary compatibility, and account information.

Participants can update or renew their account details on the bpjsketenjajaan.go.id website and through the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application if their account numbers are incorrect or no longer active.

Employers can also modify account details via the participant management information system (SIPP) application.

Steps to Update Your Account

Updating via Website

1. Open the bsu.bpjsketenjajaan.go.id website.
2. Enter your Population Identification Number (NIK).
3. Enter your name as it appears on your ID.
4. Enter your date of birth.
5. Enter your biological mother’s name.
6. Enter your active cellphone number and email.
7. Click the “Continue” button.

The system will then display your membership status and eligibility for the 2025 BSU. If data is incorrect or incomplete, you will be guided to update your bank information, including account number and account holder name.

Updating via JMO Application

1. Open the JMO application on your smartphone.
2. Select the “Update your data now” menu.
3. You may also select the “Data Data” menu.
4. Update your information, including your active account number.
5. Check your membership details.
6. Select “Done” if all information is accurate.

Updating via SIPP Application

1. Access https://sipp.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id/.
2. Enter your username and password (for those with a company officer role).
3. Click Login.
4. You will then enter the SIPP main page.
5. Select the “BSU Data Seminization” sub-menu in the “BSU Year 2025” menu.
6. Click to download the template, and complete the data.
7. In the website display, the information will appear “Notification of Template Filling Procedures”, then click “Continue Download”.
8. Fill in the data in the Excel template, including the bank name, account number, account name, and mobile number.
9. Upload the file and click “agree, continue upload”.
10. The data purity process will be completed.
