On Thursday, Sharonell Fulton could cheer. Then she won in the US Supreme Court. She is a foster mother approved by a Catholic child welfare service (CSS), which has an agreement with the city of Philadelphia. What was the case about? Could the city terminate its agreement with CSS because they refuse to deal with gay couples.

The city lost, and Fulton won. Nevertheless, the case has not triggered bottomless disappointment among liberals or gay activists.
