Marvel director Cate Shortland said the feature will mark the farewell of Natasha Romanoff (who died in “Avengers: Endgame”) and allow Florence Pugh’s character, Yelena Belova, to come under the spotlight.

Cate also revealed that “Black Widow” would allow Natasha Romanoff to bid farewell to the Marvel Universe after fans were disappointed with her death in “Avengers: Endgame”.
