The “Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism” is an important occasion for the CDU Dresden to remember the millions of people, the victims of the crimes against humanity and the wars of annihilation of the Nazi regime with dignity.
Dr. Markus Reichel, district chairman of the CDU Dresden, “We therefore have a special responsibility in and for Germany. We have an obligation to keep alive the memory of the crimes of the National Socialists and this injustice. “
Dr. Markus Reichel refers to the memorial hour in the Bundestag on January 27, 21. This year of commemoration is dedicated to the anniversary year “321 – 2021: 1,700 years of Jewish life in Germany”. The Shoah’s rupture in civilization is accentuated by remembering the Jewish culture that had shaped its history over many centuries before 1933 and looking at Jewish life since 1945, in the shadow of Auschwitz.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, face-to-face events cannot take place in Dresden this year. Dr. Markus Reichel therefore calls on you to take part in the global #WeRemember campaign. This action takes place in the social networks to remember the victims of the Holocaust and to call for an intensified fight against anti-Semitism and racism.
