The Regional Blood Donation Centre on Monday called on citizens to donate blood in view of the “significant drop in reserves of blood groups A- and 0-”. “If you are in these groups, please come and donate blood,” the centre asked on its social media.
The requirements to donate blood are to be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh 50 kilograms or more and be in good health. “We are waiting for you at our centres in Murcia and Cartagena,” the same sources have indicated.
Those who are interested in donating blood and meet the requirements can do so at the fixed and permanent points of the Regional Blood Donation Centre facilities, located on Ronda de Garay Avenue, next to the Reina Sofía Hospital, from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; as well as on the third floor of the Santa María del Rosell Hospital, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Blood can also be donated at the rest of the hospitals and mobile points in the Community.
