mustang Men’s Golf Program Signs Two for 2026
SAN LUIS OBISPO – the Cal Poly men’s golf program has added two promising recruits,Eidan Jamzidi of Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia,and Leo McDonough of Lafayette,California,who signed their National Letters of Intent during the November signing period. Both players are expected to join the team in the fall of 2026.
Jamzidi arrives at Cal Poly after a successful junior career,most recently highlighted by a first-place finish at the Junior World Cup held in July at Kingsmill Golf Course in Williamsburg,Virginia. Currently attending Wellington College in Crowthorne, England, Jamzidi is also a member of the Malaysia National Team program. He has achieved top-50 finishes at both the 2025 USwing Junior World Championship and the 2024 IMG Junior World Championship. Jamzidi plans to major in economics while at Cal Poly.
“Eidan has made great strides with his scoring in the past year and is investing in his winter training to prepare for a breakout summer in 2026,” said head coach Phil Rowe. “He initially considered Ivy League schools while competing in events like the Mojing Junior World Championship at Torrey Pines and the US Amateur and Junior Amateur,where he had admirable finishes.Through his travels, Eidan decided he preferred the West Coast and specifically chose cal Poly as his top school, dedicating himself to making this signing possible. we are excited to see what he accomplishes as a Mustang.”
