Chairman of the PKB, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) said his party was ready to join the Golkar Party, PPP, and PAN in United Indonesia Coalition. However, he gave a condition that the presidential candidate (candidate) that was carried must be him.
“I (PKB) are ready to join as long as I am the presidential candidate, right,” said Muhaimin on the sidelines of the Joint Prayer of Ulama and Habain for World Peace in the Basuki Rahmat area, Surabaya, as reported by the Jakarta Post. detikJatimSunday (22/5/2022).
Muhaimin considered that KIB was a good idea from a number of parties. He prayed that KIB would be able to unite in carrying the same presidential candidate.
“I think the united Indonesia coalition is good. I think it is an effort, an effort to equalize strength, so that it starts to crystallize. I welcome it. Hopefully, the candidates will be the same,” he said.
Muhaimin also invited all PKB cadres to work hard to make the 2024 General Election a success. He said that the PKB survey was already in the top 3 for the second position.
“God willing, we are ready to jointly succeed in the election and run for presidential candidates. We hope that the last survey for the second position will compete with Gerindra. We are grateful to be the first winner,” he said.
