The hospital director mentioned that oxygen gas networks have been installed in the free sections, in section 20 dedicated to patients with corona and quarantine, with a capacity of 18 beds, kidney section with 3 beds dedicated to washing patients with corona patients, sections 13 and 14 with a capacity of 34 beds dedicated to patients with cerebral infections, section 23 And 24 capacity 13 beds for patients with digestive system and liver + 1 bed endoscopy unit + 4 recovery beds, in addition to installing an gas network in the following economic departments: – Section 1 devoted to HIV patients in sections A 2,4,5.
Dr. Omaima Al-Sayed, Deputy Director, said about the arrival of two recent $ and Echo devices in addition to a 10,000-liter oxygen tank on the way to enter the service and be installed in the hospital, pointing out that the hospital was able to supply an oxygen tank in the capacity of trust from Cryo Gulf Company, “the main supplier of oxygen in the hospital according to the contract.” It delivers 10 intensive care beds, 8 internal beds dedicated to gas gangrene, 1 operating room, 29 intermediate care beds dedicated to patients with corona, and 34 internal beds designated for corona patients.
For her part, Dr. Aya Al-Nu’mani, Director of Fever Hospitals Department in Cairo Health, said that the hospital’s efforts resulted in the Corona virus crisis, conducting “13319”, the number of corona swabs in the last three months, and for travelers in the last three months, “4389”.
She said, the number of hospitalized cases in the last three months of November, December and January reached “1593”, while the number of hospital discharges reached a cure in the last three months of November, December and January.
For his part, Dr. Karim Salam, Undersecretary of the Health Affairs Directorate in Cairo, said that the plan to develop the Abbasid Fever Hospital began by organizing the hospital’s pathways, improving the quality of medical service, training doctors and nursing, on updates to the protocols of the Ministry of Curative Health, in cooperation with the work team, Dr. Kamal Abu Al-Ela, Director of Therapeutic Medicine, and Dr. Nahed Samir, director of hospitals in the directorate.
