Champion of the Pan American Games, Caio hardly played in the final this second. he hurt his foot in the general individual decision of the Tokyo Games. It still wasn’t 100%, but decided to give it a try. He made a good first jump, but lacked height to complete the second flight.

– We train a lot to be able to be in first place. There are only three podium places. I am very happy with my Olympic participation. I end up as an Olympic finalist. It was a victory, because in the all-around final I ended up hurting my foot and it was anybody’s guess whether I would compete or not. Everyone competes in sacrifice. We always compete in sacrifice. I’m happy with everything that happened. Obviously I wanted to be on the podium, but I’m happy with my first Olympics – said Caio.
