For the time being, there will be no relaxation of the corona measures, not even for people with a contact profession, such as hairdressers.

That reports the NOS Tuesday.
No major changes
A part of the House of Representatives urged last week that they, with protective equipment, should be able to return to work quickly. But sources around the cabinet report that such an extension is not yet in place.
On Wednesday, the most involved ministers will meet again in crisis deliberation. No major policy changes are expected afterwards, the sources tell NOS. No press conference has been announced either.

Protective equipment
The ban on practicing contact professions is valid until May 20. If possible, this should be withdrawn sooner, the House finds. Virologist Jaap van Dissel of RIVM told MPs last week that protective equipment, such as mouth masks, can play a role in an exit strategy.
New advice
The experts from the Outbreak Management Team (OMT) have announced that in their next advice to the cabinet they will discuss options for relaxing the measures for contact professions. It also examines the use of protective equipment for that profession. The OMT will meet again next Monday.
Scarcity
The OMT has investigated whether hairdressers and other contact professions can work safely with mouth masks and protective equipment. If so, the restrictions could be relaxed. But then there must be enough face masks available. That has not been the case so far.
