Cabinet – Munich – Highest Corona incidence in Bavaria among teenagers – Bavaria

Munich (dpa / lby) – The 15 to 19 year olds are now the age group most affected by new corona infections in Bavaria. Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) said on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting in Munich. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in this age group is currently 321.3, with 10 to 14 year olds still 242. Overall, the average in Bavaria is currently 185.

Holetschek made it clear that 3.6 million vaccine doses against the corona virus had been administered in Bavaria so far. That means a vaccination rate of over 20 percent for the first vaccinations. Priority level 3 is already being vaccinated in more than half of the vaccination centers. This now also included all teachers.

Holetschek expects “a lot” of vaccine for Bavaria in May and June. Then, from the end of April, model projects for de-prioritization could also be started. At the beginning of June, vaccinations by company doctors – i.e. without prioritization – should be included in standard care. Step by step, one should also think about making things easier for those who have been vaccinated, such as equating people who have been vaccinated twice with those who have tested negative.
