After several claims and requests from different sectors, The City of Buenos Aires will enable this Thursday the registration for minors between 3 to 11 years old without risk factors get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernan Quirós, will be in charge of making the announcement official during a press conference that will take place tomorrow Thursday at 9.30.
In this way, the City will begin with the immunization of this age group that was delayed. It happens that while the Buenos Aires government did not enable vaccination for this sector of the population, it has already reached “10 percent of the target population” in the rest of the country, according to the Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti.
The registration, step by step
As usual, to register you must complete the following steps:
- Login to buenosaires.gob.ar/vacunacovid.
- Complete the personal data form.
- An email, a WhatsApp message and a registration confirmation SMS will be sent.
- Subsequently, the adult responsible for the minor will be contacted by WhatsApp, mail and / or SMS to make the assignment of the shift, and will be able to select the day, time and vaccination of preference through an online management system.
- On the day of vaccination, the boy or girl must approach the center on the day and time indicated in the shift, accompanied by a person over 18 years of age. There you will be asked for your ID in the reception area and proof of registration.
- After this instance, the child must wait for the call from the health team to receive the vaccine.
- In the selected centers there will be a medical team that will have a pediatric specialist to provide immediate assistance if necessary.
- Once the Sinopharm vaccine (approved by the Anmat for this age group) has been administered, the child must remain under observation for 15 minutes. Once this period has elapsed, the corresponding certificate will be provided and you will be able to return to your home.
Then, within a period not exceeding 90 days, you will be assigned the turn for the application of the second dose.
According to data provided by the Buenos Aires administration, so far in the City, 5,923 children under 11 years of age with prioritized conditions have already applied the first dose.

Vaccination campaign
In the rest of the country, the vaccination of minors began more than a week ago, with the Sinopharm vaccine, after the approval of the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat); and according to the Health Minister, Carla Vizzotti, “we have already reached 10 percent of the target population” with one dose.
In that sense, the minister explained that “663 thousand (boys and girls) approached the vaccinations with their families to be part of the virtuous circle of care” and sent a message to parents: “Write them down: it is for them, it is for all and all “.
For this operation, 2,006,300 doses of Sinopharm vaccine have already been distributed and there are 9 million doses in stock exclusively destined to guarantee pediatric vaccination.
