BVB: three-year stadium lock for Dortmund fans in Hoffenheim – Bundesliga

No entry for BVB fans!

This motto is valid for the next three years in the TSG Hoffenheim stadium. This is reported by the “Sports Show” and the “Ruhr News”. Accordingly, Dortmund’s supporters will no longer be able to support their team in away games in Sinsheim for three years. The reason: the repeated insults against Hoffenheim patron Dietmar Hopp (79).

BVB fans had been given a suspended sentence until 2022 at the end of 2018. At the end of December 2019, BVB fans in the 1: 2 defeat of the runner-up were again noticeable with abuse against Hopp. In the event, the DFB sports court held out a ban. This is now being implemented.

The DFB control committee has requested that the suspended probation be revoked. Dortmund should therefore not take action against this application because the facts are clear. The final verdict is expected in the coming days.

Dortmund is also said to be responsible for the costs of Hoffenheim’s lost audience revenue. In addition, BVB expects a fine of 60,000 euros.

In September 2018, Dortmund fans rolled out a banner about ten by ten meters in size, which showed Hopp’s portrait behind a crosshair. On December 20, 2019, the banners were smaller, but no less offensive. Hopp had already obtained house bans against BVB supporters.
