After he had vented his anger about the lost game (0: 1) at Borussia Mönchengladbach and the associated performance of referee Deniz Aytekin (43) in the Sport1 “one-two pass” on Sunday, he went with the “construct RB Leipzig” suddenly on a cuddle course.
The background was the constant discussions about the economic possibilities of the works clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg, TSG Hoffenheim or even Saxony with their sponsor Red Bull.
According to Aki Watzke, all of these clubs deal seriously with their economic opportunities: “That is the decisive factor for me. I do not have the feeling that Hoffenheim or Leipzig are in any way in competition with Manchester City.”
