1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 Tri-carb

The Austin Healey 3000 MK II was released in May 1961 with the introduction of triple SU carburettors, a new camshaft, and new vertical style grille. The engine now boasted 132BHP. The triple SU carburettors were very much a status symbol, with the cost of installing and updating this setup costly and complex, production reverted back to two carburettors in June 1962 with the introduction of the BJ7 model. Midway through MKII production the gearbox was upgraded to the much improved centre change type gearbox that then ran to the end of Austin Healey production in 1967.

Only 5096 MKII BT7 3000’s were produced over 1961-1962.
