Buwas on the Issue of Becoming Minister of Agriculture to Replace SYL: No Problem

Buwas was reluctant to comment too much on the news that he would become a minister. He also did not respond with certainty when asked whether he was ready if he was entrusted with being the minister of agriculture.

“Never mind going there (to become a minister). Now what’s important is that my target in the near future is how market operations can reduce rice prices,” he said.

“Yes, I only invited three of them to deal with rice, right? This is about distribution, about market operations,” said Buwas at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Tuesday (31/1).

Buwas said he was present as the party that will carry out market operations. Zulhas, he said, was present as the party responsible for price stabilization.

Meanwhile, Arief was presented as the party who would analyze policies related to food.
