Busquets and Barça still do not agree on a salary deferral

The problem is that Busquets contract ends in 2023 and his approach until now was to end his career at Barça and go to the MLS North American. But the Barça club’s proposal to defer his salary contemplates that he continue for another year to be able to articulate it, that is, until 2024. And in that context, what he wants Busi is to be able to secure a starting gate in the summer of 2023 in case you want to leave. The problem is that it is complicated at a formal level to ensure that exit option in a year when salary is deferred for the following campaign. It raises doubts about whether LaLiga will accept this formula and whether, at a fiscal level, it can cause problems for the player to have an income as a Barça footballer from July 1, 2023 if he decides not to continue and break his Barça bond.
