Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Companies in the southwest fear problems in connection with the new 3G rules, which are intended to strengthen corona protection in the workplace. “Some employees don’t get it done so quickly, and some employers don’t yet know exactly how to organize it,” said Peer-Michael Dick, General Manager of the Baden-Württemberg Entrepreneurs’ Association (UBW), on Tuesday in Stuttgart.

A balancing act between data protection and the obligations of the law is possible. “Some companies will get into trouble there.” The need for information from the member companies is very high, it said from the association.

In the fight against the pandemic, stricter rules will also apply in the workplace from Wednesday on at the federal level. “Only for those who have been vaccinated, those who have been tested and those who have recovered” is what the job says. This has consequences especially for those who have not been vaccinated. Employees should only have access to a company if they have been vaccinated, recovered or tested.

Daimler general works council chief Michael Brecht told the German press agency that it was clear that employees had to be protected. “However, the implementation is a tremendous feat for Daimler, which is again causing a lot of unrest in the companies.” The current regulations should obviously increase the pressure on those who refuse to be vaccinated. “But that shouldn’t be carried out on the back of the company,” added Brecht.
