The facade of the Haus zur Gloria on Stadthausstrasse is a real eye-catcher. Stone statues of Mercury and Volcano guard its proud portal. A wide bay window runs up along the neo-Gothic facade in dusky pink, until a tower-like ornamental gable closes the Gloria. Also as a lively meeting place with an oriental flair. At the Gilgamesh, the guests sank inside and outside in their armchairs and shared a water pipe to the sound of oriental sounds. At the weekend the shisha lounge was packed full. In the industry, it was considered a real gold mine. “It is true. You could earn very good money here », today’s bar owner Hikmet Jonuzi openly admits.
