“Burgeoning Demand for “Moskvich-3″ Driven by Budget-Friendly Options”

Russian officials began to transfer to the new “Moskvich-3”

Several months have passed since the production of cars under the legendary Moskvich brand was revived in Russia. But here’s what the management of the car factory does not do, and sales are stalling. According to the latest data, a little more than 80 new cars were sold. Either the Russians did not appreciate the quality of the rebranding of the Chinese JAC model, or the price is too high. You can buy such a car from dealers for more than 2 million rubles.

But in China, the same thing, but with a native logo, costs only 700 thousand rubles.

And the authorities of Moscow have gone the beaten track for a long time. There were reports that now officials of junior management are being transferred to Moskvich-3, and more cars will go into service in the traffic police.

It is not yet known how many cars the law enforcement officers will buy on the roads, but it became known for sure that the fleet of Mosgosstroynadzor was replenished with 15 brand new Moskvich.

There is also information from open sources that the electric version of Moskvich-3e was bought by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Maxim Liksutov.

The situation is ambiguous, because in order for production to be profitable, it is necessary to sell products amounting to thousands of new cars. In the meantime, sales have not reached hundreds.

Perhaps the situation will somehow be corrected by the contract with Yandex.Taxi, which provides for the supply of a much larger number of cars. Although a crossover in the service of a taxi is not the most rational option. It is likely that the cost of the trip will only increase because of this.

But even the purchase of Moskvich-3 by government agencies means spending people’s money from the budget …
