Bulgaria Shines at BETT 2025: A Showcase of Educational Innovation in London
The 40th edition of the prestigious BETT (British Education Training and Technology Show) is underway in London,running from January 22 to 24,2025. This global event, renowned for showcasing cutting-edge technological innovations in education, has drawn over 20,000 participants from around the world. Among the standout contributors this year is Bulgaria, which has made a notable impact with its dedicated stand organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the Ministry of Education and Science.
At the heart of Bulgaria’s presence is the University “prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” – Burgas, the only Bulgarian university presenting its good practices at the exhibition. The university’s Pedagogical Laboratory, developed in collaboration with business partners, has taken center stage. Delegates from the university include Prof. Dr. Rumyana Papancheva, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Assoc. Dr. Krasimira Dimitrova, Director of the Department for Qualification and Professional Growth of Pedagogical Specialists, and Assoc. Dr. Zlatka Dimitrova, Head of the Physical Education and Sports Department.
The Bulgarian stand was inaugurated by Mrs. Natalia Miteva, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Culture, alongside Mr. Krasimir Yakimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs, and Mr. Tihomir Stoychev, Ambassador of Bulgaria to the UK. Also in attendance were Krasimir Kiryakov, Head of the Office for Commercial and Economic Affairs in London, and Dr. Boyko takov, Executive Director of the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Pedagogical Laboratory has been a focal point, showcasing its innovative educational resources designed to support pedagogical practice in kindergartens and primary schools. These resources, ranging from digital tools and team tasks to conceptual projects and games, aim to develop mathematical, linguistic, natural-scientific, and social competences in children.
As a research university,University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” continues to lead in developing pedagogical models, diagnostic tools, and digital platforms. This year’s participation underscores Bulgaria’s commitment to advancing educational technology and fostering international collaboration.
