Berlin (AP) – Almost all of the big players are playing today on the 6th day of the Bundesliga soccer match. It is worth taking a closer look at these five Bundesliga heads:
1. FC Köln – Bayern Munich (3.30 p.m. / Sky)
OLIVER KAHN: The board member would certainly be happy about a victory for his Bavarians. The “Titan”, who played for Munich from 1994 to 2008, could also lose two single records. If Manuel Neuer did not concede a goal, it would be the 196th clear game – so far only Kahn has succeeded in the Bundesliga. Thomas Müller is facing his 260th victory with FC Bayern – Kahn’s club record.
Arminia Bielefeld – Borussia Dortmund (3.30 p.m. / Sky)
UWE NEUHAUS: There is a reunion with old friends today for Arminia Bielefeld’s coach Uwe Neuhaus. Borussia Dortmund’s long-time assistant coach is a “super guy”, enthused BVB manager Michael Zorc. «It will be a nice reunion». Neuhaus was an assistant coach at BVB from 1998 to 2004 and became German champion in 2002 alongside Matthias Sammer. The 60-year-old is playing for the first time as head coach in the Bundesliga against BVB.
Eintracht Frankfurt – Werder Bremen (3.30 p.m. / Sky)
ADI HÜTTER: Adi Hütter has been looking after Eintracht Frankfurt for almost two and a half years, but before moving to the Main, the Austrian almost ended up on the Weser. A year ago, Hütter told Sky how he rejected Werder Bremen as coach of Bern. “I had a great conversation with Frank Baumann, but it was not the right time for me because I just wanted to finish my work in Bern,” emphasized Hütter. Instead, Hütter moved to Frankfurt, where he reached the Europa League semi-finals in spring 2019.
FC Augsburg – FSV Mainz 05 (15.30 / Sky)
FLORIAN NIEDERLECHNER: Mainz is simply good for Florian Niederlechner. In June, the striker ended a four-month slack in goals against his former club. The 30-year-old is still waiting for his first Bundesliga goal this season. However, his use against FSV Mainz 05 is questionable due to stomach problems. His Icelandic attacking colleague Alfred Finnbogason is about to make his comeback after a thigh injury. The 31-year-old has not scored in this Bundesliga season either.
Borussia Mönchengladbach – RB Leipzig (6.30 p.m. / Sky)
MARCO ROSE: For Gladbach’s coach, the game is particularly attractive not only for sporting reasons, but also because Leipzig is the hometown of the 44-year-old, who also has a Red Bull history from Salzburg.
