Bundesliga: Bayern has to go to Frankfurt to kick off, firecrackers in Berlin – BUNDESLIGA

The new Bundesliga season starts with three really awesome games!

Champions FC Bayern will open the season on August 5th at Europa League winners Frankfurt. This is the second time in a row that Bayern have not started in the Allianz Arena (last year in Gladbach). In addition, there is a Berlin derby on matchday 1 – Hertha is a guest at Union. And Dortmund meets Bayer Leverkusen.

This emerges from the schedule that the DFL published on Friday at 12 noon.

The top game between BVB and Bayern takes place on Matchday 9 (October 7th to 9th) in Dortmund, the second leg in Munich on Matchday 26 (March 31st to April 2nd).

Other highlights: The Revier derby between Schalke and Dortmund will take place on the 7th match day (September 16 to 18).

Bayern meets Leipzig on the 16th and penultimate matchday. However, the first leg will not increase until next year. Because of the World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18), the leagues will pause for around two months in winter.

The 15th Bundesliga matchday (11th to 13th November) is the last one this year for the time being. After the World Cup, things will only continue for the clubs on January 20, 2023.

The last matchday is scheduled for Saturday 27 May 2023.
